TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL:- These tours are 4WD camping/accommodated safaris, traveling in small groups. Conditions at times can be a little spartan, but most of our camp sites, and all of the accommodation, have showers and toilets. In the outback we have to be prepared for contingencies: adverse weather conditions, impassable roads, floods and other natural disasters, vehicle breakdowns, or illness or injury to a passenger can all cause diversions or other changes to our schedule.

However, inasmuch we have not breached our duty of care we cannot be held liable for costs of any kind incurred by passengers through such eventualities (whether the costs be monetary or otherwise).

MINIMUM NUMBERS:- On our tours we require a minimum of 4 passengers ( Although special Arrangements could be made for less than this number). If at all possible we will give you 14 days notice of cancellation and all monies paid will be refunded.

HEALTH:- Some of our activities can be physically demanding (bush walking, rock climbing etc.), so passengers need to be aware of their own limitations. Those with a history of significant medical problems should check with a Doctor before going on tour (or you might prefer to discuss your condition(s) with our Company Medical Officer). Your Driver/Guide will hold as a minimum a Senior First Aid Certificate, so please feel free at any time whilst on tour to discuss concerns you may have concerning your state of health, or fitness for a particular activity.

However Big Country Outback Safaris it's staff and contractors cannot be held responsible for any illness, injury, accident or adverse event of any kind suffered by or occurring to a passenger whilst on tour, or whilst engaged in any activity. Nor can we be held liable for costs incurred in evacuating a passenger to a base or other facility or for costs of any treatment required. Furthermore we cannot be held liable for any consequential loss, i.e., costs incurred through subsequent alterations to travel, accommodation or other arrangements.

It is strongly recommended that all passengers carry adequate Medical and Travel Insurance.

VEHICLES:- We have a range of 2WD, 4WD & 6WD town and country vehicles: most seats are forward facing, with a maximum seating capacity of 8 (including driver).

WHAT TO BRING:- Light clothing for day wear, warm clothes for evening (nights can be very cold in the outback), hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, good walking shoes, bathers, towel, plastic water bottle, torch, pillow and sleeping bag (or you can use one of ours free of charge). Bring a small amount of cash for souvenirs, extras and drinks.

We take all possible care with your belongings, but it is best not to carry fragile articles or valuables, as they can be damaged travelling over rough terrain. Please limit luggage to a backpack or soft travel bag. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for damage to your belongings, unless caused by negligence on our part.

RATES and BOOKING CONDITIONS:- We request a deposit of Aus $100.00 per person at the time of booking (or 10% of the fare which ever is greater): balance payable 21 days prior to departure. In the event of cancellation being made 21 days or more prior to departure, all monies paid will be refunded: if less than 21 days, the deposit will be forfeited.
Special rates apply for children, pensioners and students.

Children 11-15 years. 80% Adult fare.
16 years & over Full fare
Pensioners, YHA members and University students 10% Discount on all fares.
